%X This text endeavours to study the period of the Amarnian reform in ancient Egypt, in the light of the still available primary sources (written and iconographic) and on the basis of two hypotheses about the nature of that reform, namely the elimination of any transcendence and that of the mythical form of thought. The results of such decisions show, through the failure of the reform attempted by the pharaoh Akhenaten, that transcendence and myths are enormously important for any religious thought.Este texto aborda, 角 luz das fontes prim芍rias dispon赤veis (escritas e iconogr芍ficas), o per赤odo da reforma amarniana no antigo Egito, a partir de duas hip車teses sobre o que seria o car芍ter central dessa reforma, isto 谷, a elimina  o de qualquer transcend那ncia e aquela do pensamento m赤tico. As consequ那ncias de tais decis es mostram, mediante o fracasso da reforma tentada pelo fara車 Akhenaton, a enorme importancia da transcend那ncia e dos mitos para o pensamento religioso.
