Therefore, other antibiotics are being introduced into the treatment, mainly derivatives of quinolones. Aim of the study: Assessment of the levofloxacin effectiveness in the H. pylori infection treatment. Material and methods: In the study a 7-day therapy was applied in 25 patients (group I) with pantoprazole (2¡Á40 mg), amoxicillin (2¡Á1000 mg) and metronizadole (2¡Á500 mg) and in group II (n=25) metronidazole was replaced by levofloxacin (2¡Á500 mg). Results: H. pylori eradication was achieved in 72.0% of group I patients and in 88.0% of group II patients. Conclusions: The results confirm the opinions of other authors about good tolerability and efficacy of levofloxacin in the treatment of H. pylori infection. %K H. pylori %K amoxicillin %K metronidazole %K levofloxacin %K %U http://cornetis.pl/pliki/GP/2012/1/GP_2012_1_5.pdf
