%X Effectiveness of a library in the present digital age depends largely upon the application of information and communication technology, and integration in to global information infrastructure. This paper attempts to explore the impact of globalization on library and information services and information environment globally. It also analyzes the Nigerian libraries in the era of globalization and concludes by recommending steps towards launching Nigerian information environment in the global system.
