Ortega y Gasset¡¯s critique of this approach to the problem of being reveals the distance between two perspectives that are, nevertheless, joined by the actual horizon they explore: human life. However, their results are different because the analysis of Dasein aims at discovering the general meaning of being, while Ortega¡¯s conception of being as a belief, as a historical interpretation of life linked to a ¡°way of thinking¡±, turns his analysis of vital reason into a personal project of salvation. %K M.
