%X This article aims to discuss the cinematographic transposition of Jos¨¦ Saramago¡äs literarywork Blindness, directed by Fernando Meirelles. The purpose is to show the characteristics of each one ofthe artistic endeavors. Therefore I will explore in which way literature and film complement one anotherin the construction of new meanings, as well as the language differences presented in the mentionedsigns.
