GDO lar n sa l  a zararl  olup olmad   na dair saptamalar  yapmak ise beslenme epidemiyolojisi alan n n zorluklar , risk de erlendirme s¨¹recindeki sorunlar, hayvan deneylerindeki s n rl l klar ve bilginin tarafs zl   na dair ku kular nedeniyle zorla maktad r. T¨¹m bu bilimsel a mazlara ra men alerjik ve toksik etkilere dair ipu lar n n artmas , antibiotik direnci olas l   n n bilimsel kurumlarda yaratt    endi e, besin de erlerindeki de i menin ve gen transferi olas l   n n yay nlarda yer almas ; g r¨¹n¨¹r hale gelen sa l k etkilerini g stermektedir. Kar  la t r labilirli i m¨¹mk¨¹n k lacak standart tasar ma ve ileri analiz y ntemlerine ihtiya  vard r. Uzun erimdeki etkilerini ortaya koyacak ve iyi planlanm   kohort ara t rmalar n n gereklili i mutlakt r. Zarars z olduklar n  bilimsel bir  zg¨¹venle s ylemek i in ise erkendir. Risklerin hen¨¹z net olarak ortaya konamamas , olmad    anlam na gelmemektedir. Risklerin neler oldu unu kesin olarak ortaya koyacak ara lar m z hen¨¹z yeterli de ildir. S¨¹rece ihtiyat ilkesi do rultusunda yakla mak gerekmektedir. Problems and clues about risk Genetically modified foods are in the area where biotechnology is applied to foods. Their common use has driven them to a substantially important position in relation to community health. There are researchers who comment that they are safe in relation to/regarding health effects as well as others who consider them as threatening for human health. However, it is difficult to determine the health risks because of difficulties in nutritional epidemiology area, problems in risk evaluation, the limitations in animal experiments and suspicions about the objective nature of the information.Against all these scientific dilemmas, the increasing clues about allergic and toxic effects, the concerns in scientific societies about the possibility of antibiotic resistance, the  development of changes in nutritional quality and of gene transfer in literature have clearly revealed the health consequences.
