Method: this is about a qualitative report study, which was the scene Rocha Faria State Hospital/RJ, with the subject eight nurses working in the emergency room. The research protocol was approved by the Ethics in Research of the Faculty of Medicine/University Hospital Antonio Pedro, Universidade Federal Fluminense, under number 256/2009. The participation of the subjects was recorded across the term of consent. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews. From the speeches of the interviewees was possible to organize the results, and where the thematic content analysis. Results: The analysis highlighted the situations of conflict identified by nurses and allowed to interpret the statements reflect different views about the causes of conflict situations. Conclusion: data analysis revealed that in view of the interviewees found frozen conflicts, senses and manifest among the members of the nursing staff with their components, with other professionals and with users, especially consequent to structural problems, but also from interpersonal relations. %K hospital administration %K leadership %K manpower %K ethics %K organization & administration. %U http://www.ufpe.br/revistaenfermagem/index.php/revista/article/view/1190/pdf_275
