%X Las entidades de cr¨¦dito tienen cada vez mayor inter¨¦s en las cuestiones sociales, como reflejo de un compromiso empresarial para satisfacer la demanda de la sociedad, en general, funcionando de una forma eficiente a medio plazo. El trabajo de campo se realiz¨® a trav¨¦s de una encuesta contestada por 57 entidades de cr¨¦dito espa olas. En las Cajas de ahorros por lo que se refiere al tipo de inversi¨®n, se observan correlaciones significativas positivas entre el porcentaje del presupuesto destinado a inversiones en la comunidad y en proyectos medioambientales. Por lo tanto, vemos que cuantas m¨¢s inversiones se realizan en la comunidad, mayor cantidad se destina a proyectos medioambientales. Por el contrario, se observa una relaci¨®n negativa entre el porcentaje del presupuesto destinado a inversiones para la comunidad y la materializaci¨®n de las aportaciones en met¨¢lico / The field work was conducted through a questionnaire answered by 57 Spanish institutions. In savings banks as regards the type of investment, there are significant positive correlations between the percentage of the budget for investment in community and environmental projects. Therefore, we see that the more investments are made in the community, the greater amount is allocated to environmental projects. On the contrary, there is a negative relationship between the percentage of the budget for investment in the community and the realization of cash contributions.
