Duration of diabetes is most important for the development of retinopathy. Hyperglycaemia and high blood pressure are important for progression. Better control of blood sugar and elevated blood pressure can reduce progression of retinopathy and riskof vision loss. %K diabetic retinopathy %K risk factors %K progression %U http://ljkzedo.com.ba/medglasnik/vol91/17.pdf
