%X RESUMEN.- A partir del libro ※Descripci車n de los juegos de infancia, los m芍s propios 芍 desenvolver sus facultades f赤sicas morales, y para servir de abecedario gimn芍stico§, Madrid (1818), primera obra de la educaci車n f赤sica espa ola publicada por el maestro de primeras letras Vicente Naharro, se presenta un estudio que trata la tradici車n pedag車gica del juego corporal en la educaci車n de la primera mitad del siglo XIX. El estudio se inicia a trav谷s de los antecedentes del humanismo y las posteriores influencias en el per赤odo de la Ilustraci車n. La citada obra se presenta como la primera propuesta curricular de la educaci車n f赤sica t芍citamente aceptada por el magisterio espa ol. Al final del estudio se considera su alcance y su repercusi車n en relaci車n con el contexto hist車rico y el sistema educativo de la 谷poca. Tambi谷n se destaca la contribuci車n a una visi車n pedag車gica, que a trav谷s del juego y de la educaci車n integral, se opuso abiertamente a la instrumentaci車n pol赤tica y militar de la educaci車n f赤sica en el 芍mbito escolar.ABSTRACT.- Starting from ※Descripci車n de los juegos de infancia, los m芍s propios 芍 desenvolver sus facultades f赤sicas morales, y para servir de abecedario gimn芍stico§, Madrid (1818), the first book on Spanish Physical Education published by primary schoolteacher Vicente Naharro, we present a study that deals with the pedagogical tradition of physical play in the education of the first half of the 19th century. The study is based on the history of humanism and the subsequent influences in the Enlightenment. The aforesaid work is presented as the first proposal of a Physical Education syllabus tacitly accepted by the Spanish teaching. At the end of the study we analyze its extent and its impact in relation to the historical context and the education system of the time period. This study also emphasizes the contribution to a pedagogical approach, which through play and Integral Education, openly objected to the military and political implementation of Physical Education at school.
