%X This paper aims to discuss the freudian cultural theory, emphasizing the importance of the Erosand Thanatos drives in the human relationship, will discuss here, among other facts, that if theindividual don¡¯t properly submits itself to the social restraints, it can destroy itself and the other. Considering that this theory indicates that the hope of surviving passes more by the collective arrangements than by the individual realization of the drives without limits, will discuss this factby a social analysis of the Marcuse¡¯s readings of Freud. This author, leaning down over thiswork, on one hand, emphasizes that the contribution of the psychoanalysis, especially aboutThanatos, is an unique legacy , for another, thinking through the seams and the gaps of thefreudian cultural theory, shows that there is space both for the rescue of utopia (existence under the Eros dominion, which does not reduce the genital vision ), and to create a new reality principle
