%X The article presents the results of the investigation for determination of the heat capacity of exhaust gases of marine diesel engines of the Volga-Caspian region. The amount of heat and consumption of pollutants from the exhaust gases of the main diesel engines are determined basing on the results of full-scale tests on vessels. The obtained information is used to calculate the design and operating parameters of heat recovery systems of exhaust gases of marine diesel engines.
