%X This paper intends to assess the idea posed by the contemporary world based on one of its most important characteristics - the expansion of science and technology ¨C that literature is bound to deploy the same characteristic in its works labeled as science fiction. Such works not always extrapolate the possible science and, even when they feature robots, cyborgs and special machines, they are related to men and society and they elaborate thoughts based on the knowledge of a particular era. This science fiction anticipates the future by relying on all the current scientific and technological concepts.
