C.S %J Indian Streams Research Journal %D 2013 %I Laxmi Book Publication %X Values are regarded desirable, important and held in high esteem by a particular society in which a person lives. Values reflect one's personal attitudes and judgements, decisions and choices, behaviour and relationships, dreams and vision. Asample of 200 secondary school students selected randomly from rural and urban secondary schools situated in Bangalore District was the subject of present study. The researchers used two scales to measure and quantify the school environment and personal values of secondary school students. Data collected were analyzed statistically using't' test and correlation technique. Result revealed that urban and rural boys and girls from different types of school environment possess varied types of personal values.
