%X This paper presents the state of the art on system identification applied to excitation systems. First, general overviews about system identification and excitation systems for synchronous generators are presented, highlighting the unique characteristics imposed by the excitation systems in an identification process. Then, a bibliographic classification method based on the excitation system characteristics was designed, which provides a results matrix condensing the topics addressed by more than 40 reviewed publications. From the results analysis the state of the art in excitation system identification was established, and open research areas in the topic were recognized. Este art赤culo presenta el estado del tema en identificaci車n de sistemas aplicada a sistemas de excitaci車n. Primero se presenta una visi車n general de identificaci車n de sistemas y de los sistemas de excitaci車n de generadores sincr車nicos, resaltando las caracter赤sticas impuestas por los sistemas de excitaci車n en un proceso de identificaci車n. Luego se presenta el dise o de un m谷todo de clasificaci車n basado en las caracter赤sticas de los sistemas de excitaci車n. El resultado del m谷todo es una matriz que condensa los asuntos discutidos en m芍s de 40 publicaciones. El estado se establece desde el an芍lisis de los resultados y adicionalmente se reconocen 芍reas abiertas de investigaci車n en la identificaci車n de sistemas de excitaci車n. Este artigo apresenta o estado do tema em identifica  o de sistemas aplicada a sistemas de excita  o. Primeiro apresenta-se uma vis o geral de identifica  o de sistemas e dos sistemas de excita  o de geradores sincr車nicos, real ando as caracter赤sticas impostas pelos sistemas de excita  o em um processo de identifica  o. Depois se apresenta o desenho de um m谷todo de classifica  o baseado nas caracter赤sticas dos sistemas de excita  o. O resultado do m谷todo 谷 uma matriz que condensa os assuntos discutidos em mais de 40 publica  es. O estado estabelece-se desde a an芍lise dos resultados e adicionalmente reconhecem-se 芍reas abertas de investiga  o na identifica  o de sistemas de excita  o.
