%0 Journal Article %T Examen del acuerdo ADPIC desde la perspectiva del acceso a los medicamentos %A Juan Manuel Medina Amador %J Revista Electr¨®nica de Estudios Internacionales %D 2011 %I %X The promotion of a greater extent of patent protection to all inventions regardless their technology field, throughout the TRIPS Agreement, contributed substantially to strengthen the international protection of pharmaceutical products. However, it is particularly notably the impact generated by the implementation of these measures over the international trade of medicines, especially regarding access to medicines issues. Due to the potential impact this situation may have over the fulfillment of the right to health, it turns mandatory to conduct a detailed survey about the options provided by the TRIPS Agreement, which may lead to overcome the different obstacles and main failures of the established system.
