%X The Community of Latin American and Caribbean, formally established in December 2011, aims to be the only joint forum of the entire region, regardless of pre-existing sub-systems. The present research work within the limits of its extension, also analyzes the background of CELAC, the constituent documents, and the consequences of the emergence of this community, both in relations between the countries of the Region as in relations with other areas such as the European Union.
