%X As trilhas para a interpreta  o de 芍reas naturais t那m sido recomendadas em programas de Educa  o Ambiental por oferecerem contato direto com o ambiente natural, direcionando o aprendizado e a sensibiliza  o. Apesar da premissa efic芍cia e da frequ那ncia com que t那m sido implantadas, existem poucos estudos que indiquem sua validade educacional. O presente trabalho utilizou a Trilha do Jatob芍, localizada no Centro de Conserva  o da Fauna Silvestre (CCFS-CESP - Ilha Solteira - SP), Brasil, como instrumento de aprendizagem de conte迆dos de ci那ncias por meio de interpreta  o da paisagem e de seus componentes. Os objetivos foram: 1) analisar a validade da execu  o de atividades pr芍ticas nesse ambiente natural e 2) verificar a efici那ncia desta atividade quando precedida de uma aula te車rica. A oficina, dividida em aula te車rica e pr芍tica, foi oferecida para 30 alunos do 7o ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola particular do munic赤pio de Ilha Solteira (SP), divididos em dois grupos de 15 pessoas. O primeiro assistiu a uma aula te車rica enquanto o outro fez o percurso pela trilha e, depois de conclu赤das tais atividades, os grupos foram invertidos. Foram aplicados tr那s question芍rios: 1o. Diagnosticar o conhecimento pr谷vio; 2o. Ap車s a aula te車rica e 3o Ap車s a aula pr芍tica (trilha) para verifica  o do desempenho dos alunos. De acordo com os resultados a oficina foi satisfat車ria para todos os alunos, ressaltando que aqueles que assistiram 角 aula te車rica antes do percurso pela trilha tiveram melhor aproveitamento.Trails for interpretation of natural areas have been recommended in Environmental Education programs because they offer direct contact with the natural environment, addressing learning and consciousness. Despite the assumed effectiveness and the frequency with which they have been deployed, there are few studies that indicate their educational validity. The present study used the Trilha do Jatob芍 (Jatob芍 Trail) located in the CCFS-CESP (Center for Conservation of Wildlife) of Ilha Solteira-SP, Brazil as a tool for learning science content through interpretation of the landscape and its components. The activity goals were: 1. Evaluate the validity of the implementation of practical activities in the natural environment and 2. Check if this activity should be preceded by a lecture in order to be effective. The activity, which was divided into lecture and practice, was attended by 30 students in the 7th year of elementary school of a private school in Ilha Solteira, who integrated two groups of 15 people.
