The comparative study was made between the determined values of physical indicators (flow, temperature, pH) and the values of chemical indicators in order to determine correlations between physical and chemical parameters that determine the quality of water and the cumulative effects of pollutants on the values of quality indicators. This study aims at highlighting the existence of a synergistic (cumulative) context of factors, with particular importance in assessing the self-cleaning capacity of surface waters. For this purpose we used experimental data on the mentioned parameters, from the review of water samples from three sites of the Siret river in 2008-2009. %U http://www.gbm.bio.uaic.ro/index.php/gbm/article/view/975
