%X Dans cet article, nous montrons en quoi la m¨¦thode des entretiens biographiques, lorsqu¡¯elle est agenc¨¦e au concept th¨¦orique de carri¨¨re et ¨¤ l¡¯instru-ment d¡¯analyse qu¡¯est la typologie interpr¨¦tative, permet d¡¯appr¨¦hender l¡¯h¨¦t¨¦-rog¨¦n¨¦it¨¦ des exp¨¦riences ¨¦tudiantes ainsi que leur ¨¦volution dans le temps. Nous exposons dans un premier temps la d¨¦marche de construction d¡¯une typologie ¨¤ six types de carri¨¨res, lesquels permettent de comprendre l¡¯h¨¦t¨¦rog¨¦-n¨¦it¨¦ des rapports au temps et aux ¨¦tudes des ¨¦tudiants. Dans un second temps, nous pr¨¦sentons en quoi la typologie n¡¯est pas une fin en soi et qu¡¯une fois construite, elle constitue un puissant instrument d¡¯analyse des r¨¦cits afin de saisir l¡¯h¨¦t¨¦rog¨¦n¨¦it¨¦ des logiques, cette fois non pas entre les ¨¦tudiants, mais au fil du temps, au sein d¡¯une m¨ºme biographie. L¡¯article montre que la notion de carri¨¨re et la typologie sont des instruments permettant de contourner l¡¯impres-sion de fixation et de lissage du v¨¦cu induite ¨¤ la fois par la reconstitution a posteriori de sa vie par l¡¯enqu¨ºt¨¦ en situation d¡¯entretien et par l¡¯effort d¡¯objec-tivation des carri¨¨res par le chercheur. La d¨¦monstration s¡¯appuie sur deux r¨¦cits biographiques r¨¦colt¨¦s au cours d¡¯une recherche portant sur les mobilit¨¦s pour ¨¦tudes d¡¯¨¦tudiants universitaires francophones originaires d¡¯un milieu minoritaire au Canada. In this article, we show how the method of biographical interviews, when connected to the theoretical concept of career and the instrument of interpretative analytical typology represents and allows us to understand the heterogeneity of female experiences as well as their evolution over time. Initially, we explain our procedure in constructing a typology of six types of careers which will allow us to understand the heterogeneity of the relationships to time and to the students¡¯ studies. Secondly, we show how the notion of typology is not an end in itself and that, once constructed, it represents a powerful instrument of analysis of narratives designed to seize the heterogeneity of logics, this time not between students, but over time, within one and the same biography. The article shows that the concept of career and typology are instruments making it possible to circumvent the impression of fixation and a blotting over of lived experience induced at once by the a posteriori reconstitution of one¡¯s life by the candidate in the interview situation and by the effort of objectification of careers by the researcher.
