Mercury (II) forms a yellow colored complex with APH in a media of pH 7. The method can be conveniently used for the determination of mercury (II) in the concentration range 0.8146-8.1456 ¦Ìg mL¨C1. The molar absorptivity and Sandell`s sensitivity were found to be 1.267¡Á104 L moL¨C1 cm¨C1 and 0.00789 ¦Ìg cm2 respectively. The proposed method was found to be selective, linear (R > 0.99), accurate (recovery = <99.6%) and precise (RSD < 1.1%) in the reported linear concentration range. %K Spectrophotometric method %K mercury (II) %K Anthrone phenylhydrazone %K spiked water sample %U http://gw-chimie.math.unibuc.ro/anunivch/2011-1/AUBCh2015764.pdf
