The present review emphasizes on the potential of endophytic fungi, as well as focuses on the detection of pharmaceutically valuable compounds. Endophytes contain different bioactive compounds for commercial exploitation for vital therapeutic emergencies, which mainly include alkaloids, benzopyranones, chinones, cytochalasines, depsipeptides, enniatines, flavonoids, furandiones, isocumarines, peptides, polyketones, phenols, quinols, terpenoids, tetralones and xanthones and have been reported to elicit a number of pharmacological effects. The above bio-therapeutic compounds are selected based on their anti-cancerous, anti-oxidant, anti-viral, anti-insecticidal, immunosuppressant, anti-microbial, anti-malarial and anti-mycobacterial property. %K Endophytes %K endophytic fungi %K anti-microbial %K anti-cancer %K anti-mycobacterial. %U http://worldjournalofscience.com/article/view/8134
