%X El problema central de este art赤culo es la transformaci車n del Estado de bienestar en Gran Breta a en las 迆ltimas d谷cadas. Se busca una aproximaci車n hist車rica a la trayectoria de desarrollo del Estado de bienestar brit芍nico, particularmente a la progresiva reducci車n que ha enfrentado en las 迆ltimas d谷cadas. En el caso brit芍nico, la constituci車n y desarrollo del Estado de bienestar, desde la d谷cada de 1940 hasta la primera d谷cada del siglo XXI, presenta un devenir hist車rico que nos permite observar, tanto el marco en el que surge este modelo de Estado, como su progresiva reducci車n y las resistencias que ha despertado. The central problem of this paper is the process of change experienced by the welfare state in Britain in recent decades. We seek for an historical approach to the development path of the British welfare state, particularly to the progressive reduction has faced in recent decades. In the British case, the establishment and development of the welfare state since the 1940's until the first decade of the century, presents an historical development that allows us to observe both the context in which this model of state arises, as its gradual reduction and the resistance that it has generated.
