%X Nowadays, crime prevention means many intervention strategies directed towards the reduction of causes and opportunities for criminal activities before they occur. In the European Union the issue of anti-criminal policy has been the target of many special programs, but there does not exist a unified anti-criminal policy yet. In the present article the prevention policies of various European countries are examined and the fear of crime and its management are analysed in particular.
