%0 Journal Article %T Occupational stress and the industry in which the nurses of the hospital network %A Fl¨¢via Maria de Fran£¿a %A Rogerio Ferrari %J Revista Gest£¿o & Sa¨²de %D 2012 %I Universidade de Bras¨ªlia %X The study aimed to evaluate chronic occupational stress known as burnout syndrome among nurses from two hospitals midsize Caceres - MT, and know the business areas of the hospital network where professionals are most affected. It is a cross-sectional epidemiological study with a quantitative approach. The study sample consisted of 141 nurses belonging to the three hierarchical levels: nursing assistant, nurse and nurse. As an instrument used was a questionnaire for the survey of the socio-demographic and labor, plus the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). The results show that of 141 professionals, 13 (9.58%) are in a state of burnout. A higher incidence of the syndrome among professionals stationed in the administrative sector (40.0%) compared to the open sector (6.97%) and closed (2.85%). Statistically significant difference between the administrative sectors open X (¦Ñ = 0, 01) and closed the administrative sector X (¦Ñ = 0, 039).
