%X Clustering in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs)has much better utilization compared to theconventional system. Other than the highly activeand unbalanced nature of MANETs makes it hardfor the cluster based routing protocols to split amobile network into clusters and determination ofcluster heads for each cluster. In this paper, weanalyze and compare some of existing works oncluster based routing in MANETs. This paper alsocategorizes the clustering techniques and routingprotocols for ad hoc network. This paper givesadvantages and disadvantages of these on theobservation.
