Theprobability of accidents in the time of seizures is very high. So the continuous monitoringand detection of epileptic seizures are very important. The proposed system uses a wireless brain machine interface (BMI) system for epilepsydetection. Independent component analysis (ICA) is used to differentiate betweenartifacts and the epileptic signals, there by decrease the fault alarm rates. A data base isused to store all these data and a Wi-Fi connection is used to communicate with thehospital, doctor¡¯s and care taker¡¯s mobile. The wireless communication is establishedusing a TinyOs based IRIS platform. The proposed wireless system signals an alarmwhenever there is a detection of epileptic signals. This alarm is sent to the mobile phoneof the doctor and caretaker. So the patient can get the fast caring from the care taker andthe doctor, hence decrease the accident rate caused by epilepsy. %K Brain machine interface %K wireless networks %K epilepsy %K spikes %K seizures %U http://iswsa2010.acm.org/volumes/volume1/no4/ijjvol1no4p14.pdf
