Thus, it is essential for these specialiststo be aware of the infectious nature of oral diseases and its associated risk factors.Objective ¨CThe present study was designed to evaluate the dental awareness and attitudes amongGynaecologists/Obstetricians in Kanpur city, Uttar Pradesh and to educate theGynaecologists/Obstetricians about oral health care.Methodology ¨CThe study was carried out in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh. A list of gynaecologists/obstetricians, registered under the local branch of Indian Medical Association, practicing in thecity was obtained. Out of 124 doctors, only 92 subjects participated. A study specificquestionnaire was prepared to assess the awareness and attitude. The questionnaires were handedto the subjects either in their clinics or the hospitals where they worked. The questionnaire waseither collected the same day or the next day and were statistically analysed.Results :Dental awareness and attitudes among Gynaecologists/Obstetricians in Kanpur city wasfound to be satisfactory.
