ADIGUN %J Reviews of Progress %D 2013 %I Laxmi Book Publication %X A lot of criticisms have been ensued from the introduction andadoption of electronic health records and the meaningful use rules. Thispaper examined the ethical, economical, social and legal issuessurrounding the adoption of meaningful use rule guidelines and theelectronic health records (EHR) among physicians, hospitals and otherhealthcare workers. It was found that details of the meaningful use rulesstill do not appeared to be simplified for potential participants. A moresimplified and concise version should be provided for potentialparticipants in order to avert confusions. It was concluded that the qualityof healthcare and safety of patients were of great concern in the UnitedStates.
