Over many years, Terminologia Anatomica has been the subject of much controversy and disagreement. At the present time, anatomists adopted Latin as the international language for Terminologia Anatomica. Under this worldwide adoption has been possible eliminate national differences, which were causing extreme confusion in instances where the same structure was known by several names. The present paper offers an up-to-date view of the status of Latin as the language of the anatomical terminology, namely in its terminological component and present a grammatical analysis of the Latin as the language of Terminologia Anatomica.
