%X El presente art¨ªculo da cuenta de la situaci¨®n actual de los estudios latinoamericanistas en Austria, la posici¨®n que ocupan en la universidad y en el sistema de investigaci¨®n cient¨ªfica de ese pa¨ªs. A partir de ese an¨¢lisis se derivan conclusiones acerca de los principales desaf¨ªos a los que se enfrenta el latinoamericanismo austr¨ªaco y se perfila una serie de perspectivas de futuro para este ¨¢mbito acad¨¦mico. Latin Americanism in Austria: current situation and perspectives This article explores the current situation of Latin American studies in Austria, and the position they have within the country¡¯s university and scientific research system. On the basis of that analysis, conclusions are drawn about the main challenges that Austrian Latin Americanism faces, and the authors outline some perspectives on the future of this academic field.
