%X New eight-membered phosphorous heterocyclic compounds such as 2,10 每 dichloro 每 12 每 trichloromethyl - 6 每 substituted xanthato 每 12H 每 dibenzo[d,g] [1,3,2] dioxaphosphocin 6每sulfides were synthesized by reacting equimolar quantities of alcohols, carbondisulfide and 2,6,10-trichloromethyl-12H每dibenzo[d,g] [1,3,2] dioxaphosphocin 6 每 sulfide(1) in the presence of dimethylaminopyridene(DMAP). The structures of the products were confirmed by analytical and IR, 1H, 13C, 31P, Mass spectral data and they were tested for their antimicrobial activity.
