It tries to explore the specific nature of German Baroque drama that precludes their reduction to a category as a meta-historical tragedy. In the first part of the study is placed the conceptual structure proposed by Benjamin, framed by the intention to find a new epistemology in philosophy of art. The second part is working specifically the comparison between the two genres, focusing on the location of the fault and the concept of fate as differentiators. The findings are intended to highlight the materialistic and revolutionary aspect of a benjaminian aesthetic, aspects those that allow the foundation of a new philosophy of art. %K Trauerspiel German %K Greek Tragedy %K Theatre %K Baroque %K Aesthetics %K Philosophy of Art %K Walter Benjamin %K Epistemology %U http://www.observacionesfilosoficas.net/delorigendelatragedia.htm
