However, an obstacle to the successful effort in fighting the pandemicremains the lack of an integrated and coordinated information sharing infrastructureto which all stakeholders have access. In Uganda, sharing of information on AIDS isfurther constrained by the diversity of information storage, processing, retrieval anddissemination interfaces adopted by the different healthcare providers.Integration of the Information systems of the various health care providers in the HIVAIDSpandemic has not been attained as yet. This study describes a web based modelfor integration of the information systems of different organizat ions chargedwith the care of HIV-AIDS patients and information dissemination within thehealthcare system. The results of the study demonstrate that integrated access toinformation about HIV-AIDS in Uganda is both possible and attainable. Theapproach used in this study is inexpensive given that it employed open sourcesoftware. %K Web based %K Numerical Model %K Healthcare %K Information systems %K Integration %K HIV %K AIDS %U http://www.m-hikari.com/ams/ams-2013/ams-5-8-2013/mageromangoAMS5-8-2013.pdf
