%X In this text the concepts of identity, body and knowledge founded in Franz Kafka's narrative are analyzed like components of the process of Modernity. Through a decomposition of the self and the individual¡¯s figure, presents in the Kafka¡äs metamorphoses, we also attend a new concept of the body according to the concept of flow of states and consequently to a different conception on the knowledge that it will inaugurate the philosophical world of the XX century.
