%0 Journal Article %T Influence of Propagation Properties of T-shaped Waveguide with Column Defects based on Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystals %A Rong Wang %A Dan Wu %A Qiao Pan %A Jiurong Han %J Applied Physics Frontier %D 2013 %I Ivy Publisher %X By means of finite-difference time-domain method, the transmittance of both output ports of T-shaped waveguide has been investigated by the embedding of defect into T-shape photonic crystals waveguide as well as the change in the radius and location of column defects, by which the transmission spectra with some symmetrical defects in photonic crystals, and the relationship of the transmission ratios with asymmetrical defects at two output ports varying with the wavelength, whose maximum is about 8:1. The results show that introduction of column defects in different position can change transmittance of T-shaped waveguide based on photonic crystals in order to better control the propagation of light, propelling the design of beam splitter and wavelength division multiplexer in photonic crystal integrated circuits in theory. %K T-shaped of Photonic Crystals %K Column Defects %K Transmittance %U http://www.ivypub.org/apf/papersub/Global/DownloadService.aspx?PARAMS=SUReMzQ1Mg_0_0
