%X The paper is concerned with analysis and solution of the static problem of the General Theory of Relativity for an orthotropic solid sphere and the surrounding space. It is shown that, in contrast to liquid and isotropic elastic spherical solids, the singularity does not appear at the center of the sphere whose radius is reduced to the gravitational radius.
