%X Resumen: Los 赤ndices de desarrollo han sido durante mucho tiempo objeto de debate, tanto acad谷mico como pol赤tico o social. Es abundante la bibliograf赤a que se ocupa de la noci車n de desarrollo social, tanto de su significado como de su dependencia hist車rica y cultural. Presentamos una descripci車n sint谷tica de los 赤ndices m芍s significativos, destacando las dimensiones te車ricas as赤 como sus especificidades metodol車gicas.Abstract: The indexes of development have been matter of political, academic and social discussion. There is abundant literature on the concept of social development, its meaning and its historical and cultural dependence. We present a summary description of the most significant indexes, highlighting the theoretical dimensions and their specific methodologies.
