%X The present work raised, as a principal objective, describe the relation between Organizational Climate and Burnout Syndrome in Security Guards in a Colombian Coal Company. The type of research used was primarily transversal and non-experimental. The sample consistedof 393 persons; of this group, only two incompletely filled out the two questionnaires, so that the figure fell to 391 valid subjects. This research found that there is no evident BS and the OC is generally good within the organization studied. From this you can assert that positive OC may therefore be effective in preventing the onset of BS within the organization, as is suggested in other studies.ResumenEl presente trabajo plante車, como objetivo principal, describir la relaci車n existente entre el Clima Organizacional (CO) y el S赤ndrome de Burnout (SB) en guardias de seguridad de una empresa colombiana productora de carb車n. El tipo de investigaci車n utilizado fue no experimental, de tipo transversal y la muestra estuvo conformada por 393 sujetos. De este grupo, solo dos individuos diligenciaron de manera incompleta los dos cuestionarios, por lo que la cifra v芍lida se redujo a 391 personas. La presente investigaci車n hall車 que no existe SB y el CO es bueno en la organizaci車n objeto del estudio. Estos resultados sugieren que un buen CO podr赤a ser un factor protector para la aparici車n del SB en la organizaci車n, tal como lo sugieren otros estudios.
