%X We conducted a case study at ※Escuela Normal Superior§ in Monteria (Colombia) with students in initial teacher training (grade 10 ∼). The objective was to propose teaching strategies based on understanding of leadership manifestations in the field of emotional intelligence of these students. We identified some aspects that affect the vocation of future educators, such as insufficient formation provided by parents and teachers on the subject of leadership, participation and communication, as well as inappropriate manifestations of emotion control. This is evident in the way of solving their conflicts and difficulties of the student council members to work as a group, establish common goals and organize an annual work plan. All This is due to lack of motivation and monitoring of the other students.The article presents a theoretical and methodological study, ending with the proposed teaching strategies ※Leadership Strengthening through Emotional Development (FLMDE)§.Resumen Se realiz車 un estudio de caso en la Escuela Normal Superior de Monter赤a (Colombia) con los estudiantes en formaci車n pedag車gica inicial (grado 10∼). El objetivo consisti車 en proponer estrategias pedag車gicas basadas en la comprensi車n de las manifestaciones del liderazgo en el 芍mbito de la inteligencia emocional de dichos estudiantes. Se identificaron algunos factores que influyen en la vocaci車n de los futuros educadores, tales como la poca formaci車n ofrecida por los padres de familia y docentes respecto al tema del liderazgo, la participaci車n y la comunicaci車n, as赤 como las manifestaciones inadecuadas en el control de las emociones. Loanterior se evidencia en la manera de solucionar sus conflictos y en las dificultades de los miembros del consejo estudiantil para asociarse, establecer metas comunes y organizar un plan de trabajo anual. Todo ello es debido a la falta de motivaci車n y seguimiento de los dem芍s estudiantes. El art赤culo presenta el recorrido te車rico y metodol車gico del estudio, finalizando con la propuesta de estrategias pedag車gicas ※Fortalecimiento del Liderazgo Mediante el Desarrollo Emocional (F.L.M.D.E.)§.
