%X This paper searches for traces of the primary discourse in the news genre, from Mikhail Bakhtin's concept of discourse genre, but conceptualizes it, in accordance to its general traces, in the secondary discourse field. In order to achieve that, general characteristics of the news genre in the field of journalism are enumerated.
