In such systems monitoring personallocations is done through Internet server. As the serveris untrusted, it may cause threats pertaining to privacyof individuals being monitored. This is the potential riskto be addressed. This paper presents two algorithms toaddress this problem. These algorithms achieve twopurposes. The first one is that they can improve qualityof monitoring locations while the second one is forlocation anonymization so as to preserving personallocation privacy. The first algorithm is resource ¨Caware which is aimed at reducing computational andcommunicational cost while the quality ¨C awarealgorithm is aimed at improving the quality ofmonitoring locations. Both are having a feature thatpreserves personal location privacy. The system isevaluated with simulation experiments using NS2.
