%X This article is prepared to present the history from its ˇ°poetic stateˇ±, exploring the interpretation of the historical discipline in the work Canto General (1950), written by Pablo Neruda. The work of art is examined from a historical point of view; in the research of the history sense in main contents such us: time, men and nature, among others. Finally, the protagonism that the lyric speaker acquires is analyzed, presented as poet-prophet, similar to the romantic poets from XIX Century.
