KR is a combination of data structure and interpretive procedures that leads to knowledgeable behavior. In this paper, an attempt is made to shed more light on KR, and to look at some techniques for it in the real world, with the view to understand their relevance and to realize their crucial usefulness in the development of effective knowledge based (KB) systems.
