%X Resumen Fundamentada en el legado literario, est¨¦tico y filos¨®fico de Andr¨¦ Malraux, la presente ponencia articula sint¨¦ticamente una triple problem¨¢tica: 1. El an¨¢lisis del hombre europeo y de la crisis de la cultura occidental en el pensamiento de Malraux desde La Tentaci¨®n del Occidente. 2. La construcci¨®n simult¨¢nea de la defensa antifascista de la cultura y del espacio europeo libre, desde los Conquistadores hasta La Esperanza. 3. La doble constituci¨®n de la pol¨ªtica cultural y del espacio europeo en el pensamiento pluricultural de Malraux, seg¨²n la hermen¨¦utica abierta del Museo Imaginario y La Metamorfosis de los dioses. Las Antimemorias (1967-1972) y diversos archivos iluminan la indagaci¨®n de la gesta concreta de Malraux como pensador y ministro de la cultura. El pensamiento est¨¦tico-filos¨®fico en acto de Malraux, orienta filos¨®ficamente la hermen¨¦utica cultural contempor¨¢nea y precisa las responsabilidades que toda teor¨ªa de la cultura tiene ante los mitos esferol¨®gicos de totalizaci¨®n. Palabras clave: Europa, cultura, est¨¦tica, metamorfosis, hermen¨¦utica Abstract Based on Malraux¡¯s literary, aesthetic, and philosophical legacy, this paper synthetically articulates a threefold problematic: 1. The analysis of the European man and the Crisis in Western Culture in Malraux¡¯s thinking, ever since The Temptation of the West. 2. The simultaneous construction of the Anti-fascist Defense of Culture and of the Free European Space, from The Conquerors to Man¡¯s Hope. 3. The double construction of the European Cultural policy and of the Free European Space in Malraux¡¯s multicultural conceptions, according to the open Hermeneutics in place in The Imaginary Museum and The Metamorphosis of the Gods. The Anti-Memoirs (1967-1972) and several archive documents enlighten our investigation of Malraux¡¯s concrete deed as a Politician and Man of Culture. 4. Malraux¡¯s aesthetic and philosophical thought in act gives a philosophical orientation to contemporary Cultural Hermeneutics, and defines the pledge any Theory of Culture carries when faced with the spherical myths of totalization.
