The plant is found topredominantly contain triterpenoids, flavonoids and steroidsamongst others and is found to possess analgesic, antiinflammatory,antioxidant, antinociceptive, antimicrobial,antipyretic, antitumor, lipid peroxide scavenging and freeradical scavenging activities.
