%X En este art赤culo se presentan aciertos, errores y t谷cnicas de traducci車n en la localizaci車n web del ingl谷s al espa ol de Chile. Esta investigaci車n se enmarca en los Estudios Descriptivos de la Traducci車n (Toury, 2004) y en la teor赤a funcional (Nord, 1997/2005). El estudio abarc車 una submuestra de 14 sitios web originales y localizados de organizaciones asociadas a AMCHAM Chile (Directorio 2006). Para el an芍lisis contrastivo, se procedi車 a identificar y clasificar los aciertos, errores, y las diferentes t谷cnicas de traducci車n utilizadas (pr谷stamo, amplificaci車n, adaptaci車n, entre otras). En el caso de los errores, se propone una traducci車n funcionalmente adecuada. Con esta investigaci車n se pretende contribuir al an芍lisis descriptivo cr赤tico de la localizaci車n de sitios web con el fin de optimizar la formaci車n de localizadores. (This article presents successes, errors, and translation techniques in localized websites from English to Chilean Spanish. The investigation is framed in the field of Descriptive Translation Studies (Toury, 2004), and the Skopostheory (Nord, 1997/2005). The study is based on a subsample of 14 original and localized websites of organizations belonging to AMCHAM Chile (2006 Directory). For the contrastive analysis, successes, errors, and the different translation techniques used (loanword, amplification, adaptation, among others) were identified and classified. In the case of the errors, a functional translation was proposed. The aim is to contribute to the critical descriptive analysis of web localization in order to improve the training of localizers.)
