Emotional reactivity has been described as an important factor in interpersonal relations, and in individual's psychological alignment. For this reason, adaptation of "Emotional Reactivity Scale" to the Turkish culture is considered important. This research is the work of a scale adaptation. Study group of the research consists of 290 male and 275 female with a total of 565 undergraduate students studying in Erzurum Ataturk University, in the academic year 2012-2013. Since the research is a scale adaptation work, it is translated into English, which is primarily dominated by two academics has been adapted into Turkish, and has been translated into English again by a different scholar. After establishing language, the validity of the scale and reliability of the analysis are examined. In order to determine the construct validity of the scale, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was performed and KMO .871, Bartlett test ¦Ö2 value of 864.937 (p <.001) are found. In addition, three-factor structure was obtained that describes the 49.772 % of the total variance. Item-factor structure obtained from the EFA has been tested for compliance with a model by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Based on this, three-factor structure of the Emotional Reactivity Scale has been validated. (X2 = 179.29, df = 127, p = .00, X2 / df = 1.41). When looked at fit indices of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) RMSEA=.066, RMR= .012, NFI=.90, CFI=.94, IFI=.94, RFI=.91, AGFI=.90, GFI=.90 are found. The coefficient of the total internal consistency is found .91, sensitivity subscale is .86, emotional reactivity subscale is .76 and psychological durability subscale is found.81 in the scale which is made to determine reliability of the scale and it is found that scale has internal consistency. As a result of the EFA and CFA applied for adaptation of Emotional Reactivity scale to the Turkish culture, it can be said that the scale is a reliable and valid measurement tool. It is suggested that studies on reliability and validity of Emotional reactivity scale on adolescents can be made in future researches. %K Emotional reactivity %K reliability %K validity %U http://www.suje.sakarya.edu.tr/index.php/suje/article/view/54/52
