Consid¨¦rer que ces pratiques rel¨¨vent d¡¯une forme de f¨¦minisme peut sembler dissonant pour deux raisons : la pr¨¦dominance du paradigme subordination/patriarcat dans les gender studies, et l¡¯absence de la dimension militante proprement dite. Pour d¨¦passer cet obstacle, je privil¨¦gierai une d¨¦marche compr¨¦hensive permettant de voir de quelle mani¨¨re et dans quelles conditions le voile est devenu l¡¯embl¨¨me de l¡¯¨¦mancipation de la femme par rapport ¨¤ la subordination masculine tout en ¨¦tant le vecteur d¡¯une nouvelle forme de conservatisme social. L¡¯int¨¦r¨ºt sera aussi port¨¦ sur les processus d¡¯interactions complexes par le biais desquels sont d¨¦velopp¨¦es des techniques d¡¯auto-valorisation et d¡¯auto-exclusion qui distinguent la femme voil¨¦e et l¡¯aident par cons¨¦quent ¨¤ surmonter les difficult¨¦s ¨¤ faire accepter une pratique disqualifi¨¦e socialement et interdite par les autorit¨¦s. Through a study of the rebirth of the Islamic veil-wearing tradition in Tunisia we identified a set of beliefs and practices that lie beneath a process of female self-affirmation and are the basis of an "ideology" of protest against social and political order. Considering these practices as a form of feminism may seem incoherent for two reasons: the dominance of the subordination / patriarchy paradigm in gender studies, and the absence of activism as such. To overcome this obstacle, I have used a comprehensive approach to determine how and under what conditions the veil has become the symbol of women's emancipation in relation to male subordination while at the same time expressing a new form of social conservatism. My article also focuses on the complex interaction processes used to develop techniques of self-worth and self-exclusion that characterize veiled women and therefore help to overcome the difficulty in having a practice socially disqualified and prohibited by the authorities accepted. %K feminism %K Islamic veil %K personal development %K passive resistance %K f¨¦minisme %K voile islamique %K d¨¦veloppement personnel %K r¨¦sistance passive %U http://remmm.revues.org/6840
