Therein Ibn a - ala advices the mu addith n how to conduct a class of ad th. For the students he offers moral guidelines, recommends a particular curriculum and gives practical pedagogical advice. The search for possible precursors led to the main argument of this study, i.e. that Ibn a - ala used Abd al-Kar m as-Sam an s (d. 562/1166) work Adab al-imla wa- l-istimla as a direct source. Although Ibn a - ala modeled his Muqaddima after al- akim an-Naysab r s (d. 405/1014) Kitab ma rifat ul m al- ad th there are ¨C quite unexpectedly ¨C only minor similarities in both works regarding issues of adab al-mu addith. Taking the adab al-muft or adab al-qa literature as a model, the article finally argues that simultaneously with the canonization of ad th, Muslim scholars, in particular al- akim an-Naysab r , proposed rules according to which ad th had to be taught. Cette ¨¦tude se concentre sur les deux chapitres de la Muqaddima d¡¯Ibn a - ala (m. 643/1245) traitant de la conduite ¨¤ adopter par les professeurs et les ¨¦tudiants de ad th (adab al-mu addith). Ibn a - ala y conseille notamment les mu addith n sur la mani¨¨re de conduire une classe de ad th. Pour les ¨¦tudiants, il offre des r¨¨gles morales, recommande un cursus particulier et livre des conseils p¨¦dagogiques pratiques. La recherche de pr¨¦curseurs ¨¤ l¡¯ouvrage d¡¯Ibn a - ala conduit ¨¤ la conclusion principale de cet article : Ibn a - ala utilisa l¡¯ouvrage de Abd al-Kar m as-Sam an (m. 562/1166), Adab al-imla wa- l-istimla , comme source directe. De fa on plus paradoxale, les similarit¨¦s avec l¡¯ouvrage d¡¯al- akim an-Naysab r (m. 405/1014), Kitab ma rifat ul m al- ad th, se r¨¦v¨¨lent mineures sur les sujets d¡¯adab al-mu addith, alors m¨ºme qu¡¯il s¡¯agit du mod¨¨le revendiqu¨¦ de la Muqaddima d¡¯Ibn a - ala .
